Dr Tim Maynard serves as Pastor Emeritus of Fruit Cove Baptist Church.  He retired from his role as Lead Pastor of Fruit Cove Baptist after over thirty years of service.

Prior to coming to Fruit Cove Baptist in 1993,  Pastor Tim served the Bardstown Junction Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, Ky.  He also served as Family Life consultant for the Kentucky Baptist Convention.   Dr Maynard holds a D Min degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He taught as adjunct professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling for New Orleans Baptist Seminary from

1994-2003.  He held positions on the Florida Baptist State Board of Missions, and

served as President of the Florida Baptist State Convention for two years.  He completed two terms on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention.  He also serves as consultant with First Coast Churches as Pastoral Wellness Champion.

He has published two books, I Bear Witness: A Memoir and Walking with God in the Hard Places.  Currently Dr Maynard is working with helping grow our Cove Counseling Center

Pastor Tim was married to Pam for 40 years, and they have two children, Allison (Patrick) Martin, and Dave (Logan) Maynard.  The light of his life is his granddaughter McCail.   Pastor Tim enjoys playing drums, biking, traveling, swimming, gym workouts and continues to write his elusive “next book.”
