Fostering Hope is a ministry of Fruit Cove Baptist Church that exists to raise awareness to vulnerable children in our community and to support foster and adoptive families.
What we do
Work with our church’s Prayer Ministry to pray for specific needs.
Facilitate monthly support group meetings that provide encouragement & resources through experiences of foster & adoptive parents that can relate to the journey.
Provide freezer meals to families with new placements, on court dates, or are otherwise experiencing difficulties in the home.
Maintain a closet that provides diapers, wipes, clothing, and equipment to families with new placements & in need of new sizes. This resource is available to foster, adoptive, relative, and non-relative caregivers.
Host educational programs & training for caregivers of children who have experienced trauma related to foster care and adoption.
Recognize the hard work & efforts of child welfare workers through gifts of appreciation.
Hold family events & playdates to provide community and give families a place to connect with one another
Provide one-on-one guidance & support for foster and adoptive families.
Host Parent’s Night Out events to give families a much-needed break to rest and refresh.
Offer comprehensive wrap-around care to church foster and adoptive families, giving them the support of an advocate and volunteers to help meet needs and provide encouragement.
Deliver ‘Bags of Hope’ that are filled with fun & typically holiday-themed family activities. These bags show our families that their work is important and seen, lift spirits, and are a great source of encouragement.
At Fruit Cove, we believe that this church exists to Equip the people with God’s Word, Engage the culture with God’s Truth, and Embrace the world with God’s Love.
