A former United States Navy Chaplain for 23 years, a former missionary, a former missionary kid; Pastor Darin felt the leading of the LORD to return to full-time Church ministry.  In 2022 an invitation was extended and the call graciously confirmed by Fruit Cove Baptist Church to serve as associate Pastor to Senior Adults (PRIME) and Pastor to Men.

Former ministry assignments include serving as a Baptist Chaplain to 2/6 MARINES where he deployed to Iraq, 3/10 MARINES, NC; USS Ponce deployed to the Gulf of Arabia, USS Nashville deployed to Western Africa, Naval Support Activity LA Maddelena, Italy; Command Logistical Support Activity Wester Pacific, Singapore; Command Chaplain Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Atlantic, Jacksonville; Command Chaplain Naval Submarine Support Center, CT; Command Chaplain Naval Support Activity Panama City; Command Chaplain Naval Station Mayport.

During military relocations, the Dunham’s were blessed to twice call Fruit Cove Baptist Church their home church over seven years.  The opportunity to serve the church that provided a spiritual home over those years is a particularly special blessing.

Prior to serving in the Chaplain Corps, the Dunham’s served on the mission field in Chiang Mai, Thailand till events that transpired on September 11, 2021 changed ministry direction.  Pastor Darin is also the son of life-time missionaries and was born and raised in Thailand before returning to the United States to attend undergraduate studies.  He received a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Messiah College, PA.  It was there he met his wife, Lori.

Initial employment from college was as social worker for Lackawanna County Children and Youth services, where he was assigned to their Sexual Abuse Unit.  This exposure to the brokeness of mankind was a critical impetuous in his desire to seek further seminary education and serve as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In 2000, Pastor Darin received his graduate degree (M.A. Chaplaincy) from Dallas Theological Seminary and The Call was affirmed through ordination on November 21, 2001.

Pastor Darin finds himself immeasurably blessed to be married to his best friend of 30 years, Lori.  Blessings upon blessing come in the form of their children Kyle, Celeste, Grace, and Bethany.
