Bryan joins the Fruit Cove family after serving the church for over 20 years in various family ministry roles in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama. Prior to becoming our Family Pastor, he served as the lead student minister at First Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama.
He previously served Southern Baptists on the Alabama state VBS Training Team, and as the Baptist Campus Ministries director at Lenoir Rhyne University (Hickory, NC) and Enterprise State Community College (Enterprise, AL). He is also an experienced educator, coach, and chaplain in middle schools and high schools in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama.
Bryan holds a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Educational Ministry from Southwestern, a Masters in Christian Education from Southeastern Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Clemson University. His doctoral research centered on the church’s use of “Technology-Mediated Ministry” and its implications for local church discipleship. He has written for Youth Pastor Theologian, Engage Every Generation, Youth Specialties, the Journal of Youth Ministry, and the Southwestern D6 Journal of Family Ministry. His work was also featured on the Social Media Church Podcast and the Youth Pastor Theologian Podcast.
He enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes. He finds much joy in spending time with his family, whether that’s exploring a new historical landmark or hanging out playing video games together. He has been married to Jennifer since 2005 and they have two boys, Henry and Caleb.
