By volunteering, in any capacity, you are giving foster families the support and motivation needed to allow them to continue serving children and families in need.
Our ministry recently adopted a model of support called CompaCare. CompaCare is a compassionate care system that has proven success in supporting and retaining foster families. A family advocate is assigned to each foster family to create a custom support plan that fulfills immediate and long term needs to provide consistent, dependable care. Family advocates have a team of volunteers that operate at different levels, depending on how they would like to serve/interact with the family. Volunteer opportunities include providing meals, gift cards, babysitting, tutoring, mentoring, sending cards and letters of encouragement, praying, and so on.
If you prefer to participate in special projects or use your gifts/talents in other ways, we would be so grateful. Examples of those opportunities include participating in donation drives, home repair projects, volunteering at foster family events, or providing professional services at reduced rates, for example, accounting or legal services. Please indicate to us what area you would like to serve or if there is a specific way you can help, and we will reach out as needed.
