Are you new to Fruit Cove? Looking for a way to “anchor” your membership? let us help you build relationships and connect with other women in the church while you begin to find your place of service in this new environment. “Anchored” is sponsored by Fruit Cove Women and is offered only to new members. We provide dinner, a tour of the church facilities and important information in a casual setting.
Annual Ladies Retreat
We offer an away ladies retreat the third week in September every other year. This retreat is held at Epworth by the Sea, St. Simon’s Island, GA. Our retreats have national guest speakers, praise and worship music team, small group break-out sessions, and so much more. A time for reflection and refreshing in God’s Word.
Community Out Reach for Women Embracing in our Community gives women an opportunity to participate in outreach and evangelism by providing ways to embrace and serve the community surrounding us through existing local ministries or those within our own church. These service projects are supported through practical help, prayer, and/or financial giving. This is the heart of our mission as Christian women, to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ. We have three main outreach events:
February: “Baskets of Love” Baked goods honoring our community police & fire men & women.
April: “Baby Bottle Boomerang” Take home a baby bottle, fill with loose change and return to the church. Benefits First Coast Women’s Services.
December: “Give a Gift to Give” Christmas gifts for the women & children of the Trinity Rescue Mission.
GriefShare is a support group for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. This is a 13 week DVD and workbook driven program designed to take you from Mourning to Joy. Classes are opened to the community.
Our Helping Hands Ministry is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ with a servant’s heart. We offer meal assistance to those who are not being cared for through a Sunday school class or other group. This is a short-term commitment intended to help families during times of illness, death or family crisis.
IF Gathering is an annual event happening each February. This event is held in Austin, TX but live streamed around the world. Fruit Cove women will be participating in this live stream event in February 2017.
What “If” God spoke to you and asked you to disciple a generation? The calling of ordinary women to become leaders who rise up to make disciples of other women in every city and country in the world. Each “If Table” is 6 Ladies, 4 Questions, 2 Hours, 1 Simple Meal-Once a Month. Sharing in community, discipleship, and outreach!

Welcome to Journey Ministry (formerly Widows’ Might), a group of widows dedicated to helping other widows through care, understanding, empathy and God’s Word. We did not choose to be widows, to be alone or to raise our children without their father but we can choose to make things better for ourselves with the help and support of other widows as well as God’s constant love.
If you would like to be included in mail-outs to our luncheons and other events, please contact Gwen May at 287-0996 (church office) or firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our contact list. We also have the James Gang that is available to assist widow’s with any home maintenance issues. Contact the church office for more information.
