Melissa Goodman joined the staff of Fruit Cove Baptist as the Director of Children’s Ministries in April of 2004. For several years prior, she had served as the TeamKid Coordinator and taught 3^rd/4^th grade Sunday School before starting the Preteen Ministry for 6^th graders.

Melissa and her family joined Fruit Cove Baptist in early 2000 and began serving in many areas of the church. Melissa grew up in Christian home and has a long heritage of faith. Due to her upbringing she trusted the Lord as her personal savior and was baptized at age 8. Church and living for Jesus has been an important part of her life.

After working in the medical field as a Radiological Technologist for almost 20 yrs, Melissa felt the call to ministry. This call is specifically to help children learn and grow closer to the Lord and to live for Him daily. Melissa has an Associate of Science Degree from Polk State College, in Radiology but has several certificates and years of training in Children’s Ministry through conferences and seminars.

Melissa is married to Keith and they have three children, who are all married, Danielle (Justin), Kaitlyn (Josh), Kyle (Shelby). Melissa & Keith have four grandchildren, Elyse, Nixon, Kenleigh & James. Family trips to Disney, the Smoky Mountains and other National Parks are very important to Melissa. They love to hike and spend time in God’s wonderful creation.
