Just Open the Door, Jen Schmidt

Led by Nicole Kalil, ROC-304

Hospitality is one of the best ways to live out the two greatest commandments: loving God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. But often we get caught up in perfecting our homes and conversations before we open our doors.

Over 7 sessions, look to Jesus as your model for hospitality. Discover how He lived a life full of interruptions, yet always welcomed people and invited them to follow Him. Learn to replace cultural expectations with biblical hospitality to create a legacy of invitation and reflect Jesus through simple acts of service.

Chosen, A Study on the Book of Ephesians

Led by Lori Dunham, ROC-301

As believers in Christ, our identity has been radically changed. We are adopted as sons and daughters into the family of God. What does it look like to live out our identity in Christ?  This 7 week study will equip you to:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the gospel and God’s unmerited favor towards His people
  • Put away worldly living and instead live by the Spirit
  • Learn the importance of striving for unity within the Church

Minor Prophets: Deeper Still

Led by Laurel Wiley,  ROC-205

Come explore the whole prophetic message of scripture, taking comfort that God is and always has been sovereign over the affairs of our lives.  Jesus often quoted the Prophets, validating their lives and words.  God spoke to them and He has spoken to us through Jesus.  We would do well to take heed and be ready for the Holy Spirit to do His transforming work in our lives.

Weekday Studies

Elijah, Faith and Fire, Priscilla Shirer

Led by Shari Haber, Tuesday Nights, A-106, 6:30pm

Old Testament heroes are best known for their most celebrated moments: Moses dividing the Red Sea; David slaying Goliath; Gideon routing an insurmountable army; Joshua marching around the defiant walls of Jericho. And Elijah—calling down fire on Mount Carmel.

Every serious believer longs to summon up that kind of boldness and faith, yet few are willing to go through the process required to get them there. Join Priscilla Shirer on this 7-session journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.
