Women’s Current Bible Studies

Bible Studies are offered on Monday and Tuesday mornings, Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights. These studies are designed to give us a strong foundation in the Word of God and encourage a habit of consistent time in prayer which equips us for service and evangelism. Childcare is available during some of these times and you do not have to be a member of the church to attend these studies.

Monday Morning

The Quest
by Beth Moore

The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this six-week excursion with Jesus, Beth Moore uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Let the crooked punctuation mark be the map that points you into a closer relationship with the Father. Learn to pray to promote intimacy with God. Explore questions and responses from the Bible. Track your quest by journaling along the way.

Begins February 5th

Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves. What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Priscilla redefines interruption as God’s life, the result was revival in an entire city.

Military Wives Support Group

American flag background - shot and lit in studio

It’s a challenge to be a military wife. You wave good-bye to your husband as he heads out on deployment and then you try to keep the home fires burning. It’s hard and there are times you feel all alone. That’s where Military Wives Support Group comes in. Here you will meet other wives going through or who have gone through, the same struggles and you’ll realize, you are not alone.

We will have a morning devotional, share in good fellowship time, enjoy some refreshments, and have discussions on what we can do for each other.  Please feel free to invite other military wives. You do not have to be a member of FCBC to come.

Military Prayer Board Please submit a picture of your family member who is serving in our military. This photo will serve as a reminder to pray for these who serve our country for the cause of freedom. The picture does not have to be an “official”–in-uniform picture. This will be an on-going reminder to pray for them and their families as they serve on foreign soil and here in our homeland.

Tuesday Night

by Lisa Harper

Join Lisa as she journeys through this bridge between the Old and New Testaments to get to the heart of the matter: Jesus is our accessible King. He is not a faraway God, but an up-close Redeemer who draws near to us. Hebrews helps women make the connection between God the Father and God the Son and reminds us that Jesus is supreme, but He is also compassionate, empathetic, and loving to no end. Lisa Harper makes digging into Hebrews fun and doable, as only she can, without losing an ounce of depth.

Begins January 23rd

Planting Hope

PH FrontIn His Image Ministry presents Planting Hope. A faith-based support group for families with special needs children. Join us for the bible study, “Freefall to Fly”  by Rebekah Lyons. Rebekah asks the question, “What if your greatest struggle became your greatest strength?” When your burdens and gifts collide, you discover what God uniquely created you to do-your purpose, the meaning behind the mundane and the extraordinary. It’s time to quit fighting God and instead surrender to Him and His plans. But to do so requires a leap of faith into the unknown. Sometimes it takes a freefall to discover that we can fly into a breathtaking journey toward a life of meaning. Embrace the fall….God is there to catch you.  This group meets the first Tuesday of every month. For more information regarding this ministry, please contact Barbara Campbell at barbara.inhisimage@gmail.com.
