Fostering Hope hosts monthly support group meetings where foster and adoptive families come to find community, support, connection, and encouragement. There are two separate groups, one dedicated to foster families and the other to adoptive families. On occasion, we have a guest speaker or provide a specialized training session during our meeting time. 

The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, September to May, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the ROC Building. We kickoff the meetings with a dinner at 5:30 in the ROC Fellowship Hall on the second floor.  We all enjoy some pizza together; then children can be dropped off, beginning at 6:15pm in the ROC Preschool, downstairs. The foster group meets in the fellowship hall, and the adoptive group meets in R205. Childcare is available and a reservation is required.

For any activities that have childcare, including support groups and Parent’s Night Out, we ask that complete the First Visit Support Form. This helps our staff better meet the needs of your children. Forms are required to be updated annually in September. This is required for children to be in childcare.

For foster families, we request that children be placed in your home for a minimum of one week before attending childcare.
