We are excited to re-open our Celebrate Recovery meeting at Fruit Cove Baptist Church. Although you will notice some changes to our schedule and activities, Celebrate Recovery at Fruit Cove Baptist Church is a safe place to meet and support one another.
We want to welcome you back to Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights now starting @ 7pm. It’s the best place to be on Friday night. Come join us and experience the hope and healing of Jesus Christ over our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. We have also taken additional health and safety precautions during COVID-19 to provide a safe place.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program that provides people the resources and relationships to help recover from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This is a program for anyone struggling with past or current dysfunctions or compulsions, whether they are affecting their own life or the lives of those around them. The Bible clearly states that “all have sinned.” It is my nature to sin, and it is your nature too. None of us is untainted. Because of sin, we’ve all hurt ourselves, we’ve all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended.
Pastor Rick Warren, Saddleback Church
The Purpose of Celebrate Recovery The purposes of Celebrate Recovery are to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles based on the Beatitudes in Matthew 5. This experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door of sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives’ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power-Jesus Christ.
