Women’s Current Bible Studies

Bible Studies are offered on Monday and Tuesday mornings, Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights. These studies are designed to give us a strong foundation in the Word of God and encourage a habit of consistent time in prayer which equips us for service and evangelism. Childcare is available during some of these times and you do not have to be a member of the church to attend these studies.

Monday Morning

Discerning the Voice of God
by Priscilla Shirer

A decade ago, Priscilla Shirer authored Discerning the Voice of God, and since then God has continued to grow, teach, and challenge her in her walk with Him. This revised and expanded edition reflects that growth through new stories, illustrations, and exercises. Through 7 sessions, discover the root to clear and daily communication with God – humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in everyday life.

Tuesday Morning

Ten Women of the Bible
by Max Lucado

As we study the lives of the women in the Bible, we find important truths that God wants us to grasp. They lived in a different world than our own, but we find ourselves facing the same issues they faced. Yet even more, these women show us there is a God who sees us where we are and loves us for who we are. He is the one who hovers over all the pages of the Bible, shaping lives, rescuing hearts, healing sicknesses, raising what was dead to life, and assigning high callings to those who choose to follow him and have faith in him.

Tuesday Night

Breathe
by Priscilla Shirer

One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christ likeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of Sabbath will change your life.

War Room
by Priscilla Shirer

“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6

War Room Bible Study is based on movie clips by the same title where Tony and Elizabeth Jordan seemingly have it all – great jobs, a beautiful daughter, their dream home. But appearances can be deceiving. In reality, their marriage has become a war zone and their daughter is collateral damage. But with the help of Miss Clara, an older, wiser woman, Elizabeth discovers she can start fighting for her family instead of against them. With her newly energized faith, Elizabeth’s real enemy doesn’t have a prayer.

As we explore God’s Word together, we will gain godly mom-confidence in a confused world, learn to create contagious Christian community in a chaotic culture, and grow in our ability to build Christ-like character in our kids.
