Women’s Current Bible Studies

Bible Studies are offered on Monday and Tuesday mornings, Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights. These studies are designed to give us a strong foundation in the Word of God and encourage a habit of consistent time in prayer which equips us for service and evangelism. Childcare is available during some of these times and you do not have to be a member of the church to attend these studies.

Finding I Am
by Lysa Terkeurst

What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it. Join Lysa on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study we will be trading feelings of emptiness and depletion for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is like never before.

Military Wives Support Group

American flag background - shot and lit in studio

It’s a challenge to be a military wife. You wave good-bye to your husband as he heads out on deployment and then you try to keep the home fires burning. It’s hard and there are times you feel all alone. That’s where Military Wives Support Group comes in. Here you will meet other wives going through or who have gone through, the same struggles and you’ll realize, you are not alone.

We will have a morning devotional, share in good fellowship time, enjoy some refreshments, and have discussions on what we can do for each other.  Please feel free to invite other military wives. You do not have to be a member of FCBC to come.

Military Prayer Board Please submit a picture of your family member who is serving in our military. This photo will serve as a reminder to pray for these who serve our country for the cause of freedom. The picture does not have to be an “official”–in-uniform picture. This will be an on-going reminder to pray for them and their families as they serve on foreign soil and here in our homeland.

We Saved You A Seat
by Lisa Jo Baker

“How are you? “Fine.” In today’s busy world, we’re wired to appear “fine”, warding off authenticity and shielding ourselves from judgment. We hide behind the hum of busyness to escape intimate friendship with the women of God has placed in our lives. But we do want a seat at the table. We yearn for authentic relationships and the opportunity to be the opposite of “fine” with people who cheer for us. But comparison, envy, and entitlement often stop us from pulling out a chair at the table. Friendship can be hard, making new friends even harder, and maintaining genuine friendship the hardest of all. Lisa Jo will explore our relationship with Jesus  as the ultimate model for authentic friendship. Nothing shapes us like the impact of a friend-it’s how Jesus radically and intimately connects with us. So instead of chasing perfection, overcome your fear of being known and find the courage to connect.

Begins September 12th
6:30pm-8:30pm in Bldg. A-106
Cost of Book $13

Planting Hope

PH FrontIn His Image Ministry presents Planting Hope. A faith-based support group for families with special needs children. Join us for a new bible study, “Freefall to Fly” by Rebekah Lyons beginning 9/5/17. Rebekah asks the question, “What if your greatest struggle became your greatest strength?” When your burdens and gifts collide, you discover what God uniquely created you to do-your purpose, the meaning behind the mundane and the extraordinary. It’s time to quit fighting God and instead surrender to Him and His plans. But to do so requires a leap of faith into the unknown. Sometimes it takes a freefall to discover that we can fly into a breathtaking journey toward a life of meaning. Embrace the fall….God is there to catch you.  This group meets the first Tuesday of every month. For more information regarding this ministry, please contact Barbara Campbell at barbara.inhisimage@gmail.com.
